Werkstack Continues the Apps You Rely On: What Changes, What Doesn't
Werkstack GmbH, a company based in Germany, has taken over the development and support of the Jira and Confluence apps originally developed and published by Polscheit – Solutions & IT-Consulting (PSIT), founded by Frank Polscheit in 2010:
- Group Sign-Off for Jira
- Traffic-Lights for Jira
- Gantt-Chart for Jira
- Tree-View for Confluence
- Gantt-Chart for Confluence
- Skills-Radar for Confluence
These apps have served more than 800 organizations in over 50 countries for more than a decade. If your team is one of them, this post tells you everything you need to know. The short version: nothing changes for you.
What Doesn't Change
We are leading with this section because it is the part that matters most if you already use these apps.
The apps stay the same. Same functionality, same configuration, same data. Nothing is being removed, replaced, or migrated.
The Marketplace listings stay the same. Each app keeps its existing listing on the Atlassian Marketplace. Your admins will find them where they have always been.
Your licenses and subscriptions continue unchanged. Existing licenses, subscriptions, and renewal terms carry over as they are. There is no re-purchase, no re-licensing, and no action required on your side.
Billing stays with Atlassian. As with all Marketplace apps, Atlassian handles billing. Your invoices, payment methods, and renewal process do not change.
Support continues. You can reach us at hello@werkstack.dev or via the support channel on each app's Marketplace listing. Open requests and existing channels keep working.
Data Center versions remain actively maintained. We know many of the teams using these apps run Jira and Confluence Data Center, often in regulated environments where that is a deliberate choice. The Data Center versions are part of what we have taken over, and they remain under active maintenance.
What Changes
The vendor name. The listings on the Atlassian Marketplace now show Werkstack as the vendor. This is a name change on the listing, not a change to the app behind it. If your procurement or security team asks about the new vendor name, the answer is: Werkstack GmbH, a German company, is the new publisher and maintainer of the same apps.
Investment in the apps' future. We did not take these apps over to keep them on life support. We are investing in their continued development, including ongoing work on the Cloud versions built on Atlassian's Forge platform. We will share specifics through the usual channels — release notes, the Marketplace listings, and this blog — as they ship, rather than announcing roadmaps in advance.
Why Continuity Matters to Us
Approval workflows, project status reporting, and planning tools are not the kind of software teams swap out lightly. Group Sign-Off, for example, sits inside audit-relevant processes at organizations that need their tooling to be predictable. We understand that when you evaluate a vendor change, you are really evaluating risk.
That is why our first priority is continuity: same apps, same listings, same support, maintained by a team that intends to be here for the long run. The apps earned the trust of 800+ organizations over more than a decade. Our job is to keep that trust and build on it.
